    I have a Carrier furnace about six years old. $400 motherboard replacement today 🙁

    I agree with the above. Our furnace is just 6 years old and the ventor motor is gone – a $1,600 repair. I called Carrier and they didn’t give a damn – said it was one year out of warranty and they would not provide any assistance. They charge a premium for their product and you would expect it to last – obviously they do not stand behind their products – STAY AWAY FROM CARRIER.
