Ruud Furnace Complaints

Rudd designs its heating and cooling products to be energy efficient and to last for a long time, but not every system works perfectly all the time. Usually the 2-stage system switches into high gear when a home is exceptionally cold and it must run at full capacity.
As with every heating system, you’ll sometimes get Ruud furnace complaints. Among them are problems with the blower motor having to be replaced in systems installed in a new housing subdivision. The consumer who wrote the complaint also stated that they had problems finding the company’s website.
High energy furnaces that are referred to as condensing furnaces, work by having gas forced through pipes after an initial combustion process. When the gases cool enough, they condense into water.
One of the Ruud furnace complaints with this type of furnace, is that even though the have the capability to gather heat while the condensing is occurring, a drain is needed to remove the water, which can build up quickly.
Even though some consumers report Ruud furnace complaints, they aren’t as frequent as with some other name brands. Many of the complaints involve replacing parts such as the blower motor or the ignitor.
When this occurs, it’s usually in systems that have been working in the home for a period or years, and the parts simply had to be replaced due to wear and tear after normal use.
Most often, the parts that had to be replaced, were in furnaces that had been in operation in the home for 15 years or possibly longer. Most of the parts weren’t expensive to replace, and the homeowners who reported problems were generally of the opinion that it wasn’t the furnace itself that was faulty, but most seemed to think that the parts weren’t installed properly when the furnace was manufactured.
Many consumers did report that they paid more for their Rudd heating system than they would have for other brands, but were pleased with the efficiency of the furnace they purchased, due to low maintenance costs, and fewer repairs than with other top brand name furnaces.
