Ruud Furnace Review

A century ago, a mechanical engineer from Norway came to America. It was there where he developed the first ever successful automatic water heater. And this brilliant mechanical engineer was Edwin Ruud.

His success was the beginning of the quest for improvement and innovation along with value. This is still the quest that is being taken with the production of RUUD heating and air-conditioning products since the 1950s. And you can see that the company is progressing with a Ruud furnace.

Ruud is really determined to deliver efficient and inexpensive products in the market. Their line is similar to those of Rheem since the latter is their parent company. They are almost the same in color and build.

The only noticeable difference is the model numbers and the name of the product. Surely there are differences in the designs of a Ruud furnace and a Rheem furnace but perhaps that is something that is not exposed and superficial in nature.

Their websites are quite slow. Sometimes they are down. It can be quite a task to navigate it even with a good Internet connection. So if you need some help with your furnace, make sure that you have the manual with you instead. Or call customer support.

Ruud also offers a high-end line of gas furnaces. The bonus that consumers can get with both Ruud and Rheem furnaces is that their parts can be used by either brand. They are interchangeable. So if in case a supplier runs out of Ruud parts, they can use Rheem parts and vice versa.

A Ruud furnace is durable enough to last you quite some time. And it could make some noise but it is very tolerable. It’s one furnace that you could grade as okay. It performs satisfactorily. And the best part about it is it won’t cost you that much.
